PPL Corporation to Reveal 2024 Earnings Amid Sector Challenges
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) will announce its consolidated fourth-quarter and year-end 2024 earnings results on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025. The energy company, serving over 3.5 million customers in the U.S., will host a live webcast and conference call at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, featuring insights from President and CEO Vincent Sorgi and other executives.
The earnings release comes as PPL navigates a challenging energy sector marked by rising operational costs, inflationary pressures, and regulatory changes. Analysts project PPL to report an earnings per share (EPS) of $0.39 for the fourth quarter, slightly down from $0.40 in the same period last year. Revenue estimates stand at approximately $2.1 billion.
Despite these challenges, PPL has demonstrated resilience, with its stock returning 27.8% over the past year, outperforming the S&P 500 Index. The company has also reaffirmed its commitment to growth and sustainability, targeting an annual EPS and dividend increase of 6% to 8% through at least 2027.
In a recent move to reward shareholders, PPL raised its quarterly dividend by 7.3%, from $0.24 to $0.2575 per share, effective April 1, 2024. “This decision reflects our strong financial position and dedication to delivering value to our investors,” said Sorgi in a statement.
PPL has also prioritized infrastructure improvements and renewable energy projects as part of its strategy to enhance service reliability and reduce carbon emissions. These initiatives are expected to solidify the company’s position as a leader in the transition to cleaner energy sources.
Interested individuals can access the live webcast via PPL’s website or join the conference call by dialing 1-844-512-2926 (U.S.) or 1-412-317-6300 (international) and entering the “Elite Entry” number 6752826. A replay of the webcast, including presentation slides, will be available for 90 days following the event.
As the utility sector evolves, PPL’s upcoming earnings report will provide critical insights into its operational performance and strategic direction, offering stakeholders a clearer picture of the company’s ability to navigate future challenges while delivering value to shareholders.
