Prabhas’ Sci-Fi Film ‘Kalki 2898-AD’ Gets New Release Date

Filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s highly anticipated sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898-AD’, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, will be hitting the theaters on May 9, 2024. The announcement of the new release date was made by production banner Vyjayanthi Movies on Friday. Accompanying the news, the studio revealed a brand new poster featuring Prabhas.

“The story that ended 6000 years ago. Begins May 9th, 2024. The future unfolds. #Kalki2898AD,” the studio shared on Instagram.

The star-studded film, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, was initially scheduled for release on January 12. However, the makers decided to push it to May 9 to ensure a bigger and better theatrical experience.

‘Kalki 2898-AD’ is a magnum opus that promises to transport audiences to a never-before-seen world in Indian cinema. The film, formerly known as Project K, was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in July 2023. It is produced by Aswini Dutt, the founder of Vyjayanthi Movies.
