Presale Tickets for Dead & Company Concerts Available Next Week
San Francisco, California — Grateful Dead fans can start signing up now for presale tickets to three Dead & Company concerts scheduled for August 1-3 at Golden Gate Park. The presale begins May 28 at 10 a.m. PT, with the general public sale starting May 30 at the same time.
Fans who register to receive passcodes will gain early access to a variety of ticket packages. The most expensive is a $1,725 VIP pass, which includes perks such as fast entry, exclusive lounges, upgraded bathrooms, a front-row viewing area, and full-service bars. A basic three-day pass will cost $635, while single-day tickets, available later, will start at $245.
Organizers announced that California firefighters can enter a lottery on June 4 for a chance to purchase tickets for $60 each. The concerts are anticipated to attract nearly 60,000 attendees per day at the Polo Fields.
The opening acts for the event will feature well-known musicians such as bluegrass artist Billy Strings on August 1, singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson on August 2, and the Trey Anastasio Band on August 3.
Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, two of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, will perform alongside John Mayer, who provides lead guitar and vocals for Dead & Company. According to Mayor Daniel Lurie‘s office, the three concerts could generate tens of millions of dollars in economic activity for San Francisco.
Dead & Company are celebrated for their unique setlists that keep audiences engaged, and they promise a fresh experience for each night of the concert series. Highlights from previous performances included popular tracks like ‘Sugar Magnolia’ and ‘Fire on the Mountain.’
The concerts will also include a fan-powered social action village called Participation Row, hosted by HeadCount and REVERB, featuring various nonprofit organizations and a charity auction for band-signed memorabilia.
