Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis has received a significant endorsement from President-elect Donald Trump for the congressional seat in Florida’s 1st Congressional District. This endorsement comes as Patronis prepares to fill the vacancy left by Matt Gaetz.

Jimmy Patronis, a fourth-generation Floridian born and raised in Panama City, has been serving as the state’s Chief Financial Officer. He is also a partner in his family’s historic seafood restaurant, Capt. Anderson’s, in Panama City Beach.

In addition to his political and business endeavors, Patronis has been actively involved in various state initiatives. Recently, he launched the “Holiday Money Hunt 2024” to return unclaimed property to Floridians, with over $3 billion in unclaimed accounts currently available.

The endorsement by President-elect Trump is seen as a significant boost for Patronis’s campaign, given Trump’s influence in Republican politics. This move is expected to have a notable impact on the upcoming elections in Florida’s 1st Congressional District.
