Progresso Soup Drops Chicken Noodle Soup Candy

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Progresso, the iconic soup brand, is redefining comfort food this cold and flu season with the launch of its limited-edition Soup Drops. These savory hard candies, designed to mimic the flavor of Progresso’s Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup, are set to debut during National Soup Month.

The Soup Drops, described as “soup you can suck on,” aim to provide the familiar taste of Progresso’s classic chicken noodle soup in a portable, spoon-free format. Each drop captures the essence of broth, savory vegetables, chicken, soft egg noodles, and a hint of parsley, offering a unique twist on the beloved soup.

“For decades, Progresso Soup has brought you cozy comfort on chilly days or when you’re under the weather,” said MC Comings, VP, Business Unit Director for Progresso at General Mills. “We took the beloved flavors of our Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup and packed them into a fun, savory candy Soup Drop for a totally new way to enjoy the taste you love whenever and wherever you want.”

The drops will be available exclusively online starting Thursday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. ET, with additional quantities released every Thursday throughout January while supplies last. Each order includes a can of Soup Drops, resembling Progresso’s iconic soup can, containing 20 individually wrapped candies, and a can of Progresso Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup, all for $2.49 plus 99 cents shipping.

Progresso’s innovative product launch comes at the height of cold and flu season, offering a convenient alternative for soup lovers on the go. The brand encourages fans to stock up on the limited-edition drops, which are expected to sell out quickly.

In addition to Soup Drops, Progresso continues to offer its full range of comforting soups, including Rich & Hearty Chicken & Homestyle Noodle, Vegetable Classics Minestrone, and Vegetable Classics Tomato Basil. These products are available online at Progresso.com and in grocery stores nationwide.

General Mills, the parent company of Progresso, remains committed to innovation and brand-building, as highlighted by its Accelerate strategy. The company’s portfolio includes household names like Cheerios, Nature Valley, and Häagen-Dazs, with fiscal 2024 net sales reaching $20 billion.
