Psa Airlines Headquarters Dayton Charlotte Relocation

DAYTON, Ohio — PSA Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines Group, announced Wednesday it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Dayton to Charlotte, North Carolina, by January 2026. The move will affect 350 Dayton-based employees, who have until April to decide whether to relocate.

The new headquarters will be located at 2708 Water Ridge Parkway, near American Airlines’ Charlotte Flight Training Center and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. PSA Airlines has been headquartered in Dayton since 1985, leasing its current facilities from Dayton International Airport.

“We chose to relocate PSA’s headquarters to Charlotte for several important reasons, including that Charlotte is where most of our daily departures occur and almost all our training is based,” said Dion Flannery, PSA Airlines President and CEO. “Charlotte is a vibrant community and home to the world’s seventh-busiest airport.”

Despite the relocation, PSA Airlines will maintain a presence in Dayton with a maintenance hangar and crew base, employing more than 550 Dayton-based team members. The transition will occur gradually, starting in late 2025 and concluding in 2026.

Gil Turner, Dayton’s Director of Aviation, expressed disappointment but emphasized the continued partnership. “This is strictly a business decision that aligns with PSA Airlines management and operational strategies,” Turner said. “Despite the relocation, all flights will continue to operate seamlessly in and out of Dayton International Airport.”

Jeff Hoagland, President and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition, also acknowledged the decision. “We are disappointed PSA chose to relocate their headquarters to Charlotte,” Hoagland said. “However, PSA’s MRO facility will remain here, continuing to employ hundreds of people, and their flight service will not be disrupted.”

PSA Airlines, wholly owned by American Airlines, has been a key partner in Dayton’s aviation industry for over 30 years. The relocation is expected to impact approximately 300 management-level jobs by early 2026, though maintenance and flight crew positions will remain unaffected.
