Purdue Professor Makes Masters Tournament Debut in Jeopardy!

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue professor Adriana Harmeyer will make her debut in the “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament on Wednesday, April 30, at 9 p.m. on ABC. This tournament features nine of the top-ranked champions, a significant increase from the previous two seasons.
Harmeyer, who secured her place by winning 15 consecutive games last summer, expressed her excitement in an interview with the Journal & Courier. She noted that her first appearance in the tournament will be on May 7.
The “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament, which launched in 2023, showcases the finest players in the game show’s history. Harmeyer’s impressive performance previously earned her a spot in the “Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions” where she won a $75,000 prize alongside fellow champion Isaac Hirsch.
During this season, each contestant will leave with cash winnings, though the total prizes for the Masters tournament have not been disclosed. Harmeyer’s previous win streak culminated in total earnings of $351,600 before she took a brief pause from the game.
The full schedule for the tournament is as follows: Knockouts on May 7 and 14, Quarterfinals on May 20, 21, and 27, Semifinals on June 3 and 4, concluding with Finals. Viewers can also stream episodes on Hulu the day after their airing on ABC.
