Quavo Fires Back at Chris Brown in Fiery Diss Track ‘Over Hoes & Bitches’
Following the ongoing feud between rap stars Quavo and Chris Brown, Quavo has retaliated with a scathing diss track titled ‘Over Hoes & Bitches’ that takes direct aim at Brown’s personal and professional life. The diss track, released on Quavo’s YouTube channel, features cover art depicting Quavo choking Brown amid their verbal sparring.
Quavo, a member of the rap trio Migos, takes the opportunity in the track to reference Brown’s troubled past, specifically bringing up his violent episode with Rihanna in 2009. The lyrics make a provocative statement, highlighting Brown’s infamous altercation with Rihanna and questioning his behavior at Fashion Week.
In the song, Quavo further taunts Brown by boasting about his ability to swap out one prominent figure with another, specifically mentioning rapper Saweetie, whom Quavo has been romantically linked with in the past. This sharp jab at Brown implies Quavo’s perceived power to easily replace significant people in his life.
Saweetie, not one to shy away from a confrontation, took to Instagram to share her reaction to Quavo’s diss track. She posted alleged direct messages from Quavo and expressed hopes that the model Quavo envisions her becoming would respond.
Chris Brown, on the receiving end of Quavo’s lyrical assault, appeared unimpressed with the diss track. Taking to his Instagram stories, Brown dismissed the track as weak, indicating that it did not warrant a response. He teased Quavo with messages and emojis, subtly mocking the track’s impact.
Quavo’s retaliation comes after Brown initially sparked the feud in April with his song ‘Uncivilized.’ The brewing tension between the two artists escalated further when Brown’s song contained direct shots at Quavo, setting the stage for this ongoing back-and-forth.
