Ramayan Stars Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahri Arrive in Ayodhya for Ram Mandir Inauguration
Stars of the iconic TV show Ramayan, actors Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahri have arrived in Ayodhya ahead of the grand inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir. The trio, known for playing the roles of Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman respectively in the show, reached Ayodhya on January 17. They shared glimpses of their journey on social media, building excitement among fans.
The highly anticipated inauguration ceremony of the Ram Mandir is scheduled to take place on January 22. Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various Chief Ministers, many popular celebrities have also been invited to attend the event.
A video circulating on the internet shows Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahri strolling through the streets of Ayodhya in their traditional yellow and red outfits. Deepika looks stunning in a red saree, while Arun and Sunil sport traditional yellow kurtas.

Speaking about the significance of the Ram Mandir, Arun Govil stated, “Ayodhya’s Ram temple will become our Rashtra Mandir (national temple). It will not only strengthen our culture but also convey a message to the world. This temple will be our pride, our identity, and a source of inspiration for all. It will help revive the fading culture and become a heritage known worldwide.” He emphasized the importance of adopting the morals of Lord Ram.
Reflecting on the upcoming consecration, Govil added, “I never imagined that the consecration of Lord Ram would be such a grand event. This is a monumental moment in my life, full of emotions and energy. The entire country is immersed in the devotion of Lord Ram, and the happiness and joy around are beyond words.”
Deepika Chikhalia, who played the role of Goddess Sita, expressed her belief that their portrayal of Ramayan characters has left a lasting impact on people’s hearts. She said, “Even after the construction of the Ram temple, I don’t think our image will change. Our love for the characters and the divine story will continue to receive immense love and admiration.”
