Randy Travis to Bring ‘More Life’ Tour to Gillette This August

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Country music icon Randy Travis is set to perform at the CAM-PLEX Heritage Center Theatre in Gillette on Aug. 25 as part of his “More Life” tour. Tickets for the event are currently available for fans.
Despite suffering a stroke in 2013 that has limited his vocal performances, Travis will be present on stage with his wife, Mary, to engage with fans and the original touring band. Special guest vocalist James Dupré will sing Travis’s classic hits, including No. 1 songs like “On the Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and “Three Wooden Crosses.”
Travis expressed his joy about the tour, stating, “The More Life Tour celebrates something so much more than a musical moment in time — it’s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupré perfectly presents the songs that best define my career.”
The tour, which saw success in 2024, offers a nostalgic journey through Travis’s hits while also featuring video highlights from his extensive career in music, film, and television.
Dupré, who will be performing alongside Travis, shared his excitement. “I’m thrilled and honored to hit the road again with my hero and friend, Randy Travis. I’m looking forward to meeting and singing along with all the Randy Travis fans in 2025,” he said.
Randy Travis, a multi-genre artist with over 25 million lifetime sales, was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016. He has won seven Grammy Awards and 11 Academy of Country Music Awards, with 23 No. 1 singles to his name and appearances in more than 40 films and television shows. His first new recording in a decade, “Where That Came From,” was released in May 2024 and debuted at No. 45 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
