Rascal Flatts Jonas Brothers Life Is A Highway Tour

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music trio Rascal Flatts has reunited with pop sibling duo The Jonas Brothers for a new power ballad, “I Dare You,” set to release on Friday, Jan. 31. The collaboration marks Rascal Flatts’ first new music since their 2020 single, “How They Remember You.”

The song, a heartfelt anthem about overcoming heartbreak and commitment, features Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay DeMarcus harmonizing with The Jonas Brothers. Written by Dewain Whitmore Jr. and Tommy English, the track blends country and pop influences, showcasing a fresh yet familiar sound for both groups.

“We’re so excited to kick off this next chapter of Rascal Flatts with this single, working with The Jonas Brothers is such a blast. They’re class acts,” DeMarcus, 53, said in a statement. “I think this song fits perfectly into our catalog while also showing off something new and exciting, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans on the road!”

Rascal Flatts will embark on their Life Is a Highway Tour in February, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The tour, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, marks their return to the stage after a hiatus. The band announced the reunion in October 2024, stating, “In 2020, we announced the farewell tour after being on the road extensively for 20 years. To put it simply, we needed a break. Then COVID hit, and our plans came to a screeching halt, like the rest of the world.”

They added, “Since then, we’ve been able to revisit our unique and special experience as a band, and we’re ready to get out on the road again. It’s hard to believe that next year will be the 25th anniversary of Rascal Flatts, and that felt like the perfect time to get back in front of the fans who have given us so much.”

Rascal Flatts, formed in 1999, is known for hits like “Bless the Broken Road,” “My Wish,” and “Life is a Highway.” The Jonas Brothers, who rose to fame on the Disney Channel, have chart-topping pop songs such as “Sucker” and “Burnin’ Up.” Both groups have family ties, with Rascal Flatts’ LeVox and DeMarcus being second cousins and The Jonas Brothers consisting of siblings Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas.

While no full-length album has been announced, the collaboration hints at potential future projects. Tickets for the Life Is a Highway Tour went on sale in October 2024, with fans eagerly anticipating the return of one of country music’s most beloved acts.
