Reality Star Critiques Media Manipulation Post Elimination

MIAMI, Fla. — Nacho Casano, the Argentine actor and reality television participant, recently opened up about his controversial exit from the third season of “La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars” during an interview on “En Casa con Telemundo“. His departure stirred significant backlash from fans, highlighting the influence of pre-existing fandoms in the show’s voting results.
Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, Casano expressed his dissatisfaction with how he was treated by the show’s hosts during the interview, stating there was a clear intent to manipulate his narrative. “Sometimes it’s very complicated when you have four people making passive-aggressive comments, saying ‘how defensive you are’ when you’re actually just defending yourself against an attack,” he said.
Casano accused the hosts of failing to give him a chance to adequately respond to questions, noting that their interruptions felt disrepectful. “It’s deeply disrespectful to invite me to an interview and not let me finish the question you ask me, redirecting it to manipulate my response into what you want,” he remarked.
According to Casano, interviews with recently eliminated contestants should allow them to freely express their thoughts without external pressure from hosts. He characterized his exit not as an emotional blow but as a consequence of external factors beyond the game’s control.
Discussing the role of fandoms in the voting process, Casano noted a shift in audience demographics this season. He stated that previous contestants’ followers significantly influenced the outcome, thus diminishing the actual competition among current players. “The true fandom of the show could not unbalance the votes against the external influences,” he explained.
These sentiments were echoed by fellow former contestant Salvador Zerboni, who has also criticized the impact of outside campaigns on competition integrity. Casano stated that these external fandom influences distort the essence of the game, “As soon as the voters factor in support from fans or media figures, it undermines what occurs inside the house. It becomes less about performance and more about external campaigns.”
One name that arose during the interview was Maripily Rivera, a previous winner of the show and current panelist. Casano emphasized the competitive imbalance created when supporters of former contestants exert influence during voting.
Looking ahead, Casano has not ruled out future participation in reality television despite the controversies he faced. He acknowledged that, while his experience with “La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars” brought challenges and learnings, he remains open to potential television opportunities.
His current focus is on personal projects, including writing scripts for films. Despite the unexpected nature of his elimination, he is thankful for the support he received throughout his time on the show.
Casano’s remarks reopen discussions regarding the impact of fandoms in reality programming and how external campaigns may sway voting outcomes. His stand against media manipulation during interviews, particularly those resembling his time at Telemundo, emphasizes the importance of allowing contestants to voice their experiences unfiltered.
