Rebecca Black Dj Set San Francisco

Rebecca Black, the singer who rose to fame with her viral hit ‘Friday’ in 2011, is set to return to San Francisco for a free DJ set. The event, part of the Downtown First Thursdays series, will take place on December 5 in downtown San Francisco. This appearance follows her recent performance at the Portola Festival in September, where she delivered a well-received set at Pier 80[4].

Black’s upcoming performance is presented by Another Planet Entertainment and will be open to all ages with an RSVP. The event is part of an ongoing effort to revitalize the downtown area post-pandemic, which began in May. Those who register by noon on December 4 will also be entered into a contest to meet Black in person after her set[4].

Since her viral debut, Black has been experimenting with new sounds, particularly in the hyperpop genre. She gained attention earlier this year for remixing ‘Friday’ with Charli XCX‘s ‘360’ during a Boiler Room live DJ set, inspired by a fan’s mix on TikTok. Black has also released new music, including her full-length debut album ‘Let Her Burn‘ in 2023 and the single ‘Trust!’ in October[4].

Black’s career has seen significant growth and transformation since her teenage days as a YouTube sensation. Despite initial criticism, she has continued to make music and build a diverse fan base. Her recent projects reflect her evolution as an artist and her commitment to following her intuition[4].
