Record Breaking Powerball Jackpot Soars To Nearly $700 Million With No Winner In Sight

The anticipation and excitement surrounding the Powerball jackpot reached new heights as the grand prize soared to a staggering $687 million after another drawing on Wednesday.

The last lucky winner to claim the Powerball jackpot was back on January 1, hailing from Michigan, with a monumental win of $842 million.

The escalating jackpot has stirred up widespread interest, especially with Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing failing to produce a winner, with the jackpot soaring to a jaw-dropping $977 million, making it the sixth-largest jackpot in the history of the game.

Tickets for the next Powerball drawing are now available for a shot at the $687 million jackpot, with a cash value estimated at $327.3 million. The drawing will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

The Powerball winning numbers for Wednesday, March 20, were 13 – 22 – 27 – 54 – 66, with the Powerball number 9, and a Powerplay multiplier of 2x.

In New York, players can purchase tickets both in-store and online until 10 p.m. on the night of the draw. Residents in New Jersey have until 9:45 p.m., while those in Connecticut can buy tickets until 10 p.m.

To clinch the Powerball jackpot, players must match all six numbers on their ticket to the drawn combination of five numbers and the Powerball. The odds of winning the grand prize stand at 1 in 292.2 million, with each ticket costing $2.

Stay tuned for the live broadcast of the Powerball drawing on the official lottery website at 10:59 p.m. ET on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The drawing may also be aired on local television networks across different markets.

Witness the thrill of the escalating Powerball jackpot as players eagerly await the next drawing in hopes of clinching the monumental $687 million prize!
