Renee Zellweger and Hugh Grant Set to Star in Fourth Bridget Jones Film
Renee Zellweger and Hugh Grant are confirmed to reprise their iconic roles in the upcoming fourth installment of the Bridget Jones series titled Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
The highly anticipated sequel will also feature the return of Emma Thompson, who portrayed Bridget’s obstetrician, along with new additions to the cast such as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall.
Based on the 2013 book by Helen Fielding, the film is set to explore a new chapter in Bridget’s life, following her comedic misadventures in a modern world.
Notably, Colin Firth‘s character, Mark Darcy, will not be making a return this time, aligning with Fielding’s decision to keep Bridget’s love life dynamic and unpredictable.
In the book, Bridget is depicted as a widow in her 50s with two children, a storyline that may or may not be mirrored in the upcoming movie.
The film’s US release is slated for Valentine’s Day 2025, although the UK release date has yet to be disclosed.
