RGG Studios Reveals Title for Project Century: Stranger Than Heaven

LOS ANGELES, California — Ryu Ga Gotaku Studio officially unveiled its new game, Stranger Than Heaven, during the Summer Games Fest showcase on June 6, 2025. The title was previously referred to as Project Century.
The game is set across multiple decades, featuring environments from both 1915 and 1943. The trailer highlights the gameplay style synonymous with RGG’s Like a Dragon series while introducing elements of 20th-century noir.
In the new trailer, fans first encountered the 1940s setting where players will navigate as the protagonist, Mako Daito. Early scenes depict a tranquil atmosphere, but the gameplay soon transitions into intense combat, which includes moral choices, such as showing mercy to an enemy or defeating them.
There’s no confirmed release date or specific platforms for Stranger Than Heaven at this time. This leaves fans awaiting more information as the studio continues to flesh out details. RGG Studios is known for its solid track record of game releases, including the recently launched Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii earlier this year.
The new title promises an engaging experience that may blend historical elements with action-packed gameplay. As the studio has been tight-lipped about details, fans are hopeful for future updates regarding the game.
Stranger Than Heaven, with its rich story aspects and diverse settings, aims to keep players engaged as they navigate between different eras. With its unveiling, expectations are high, and many will be watching closely for further announcements on its progression.
