Rimworld 1.6 Update and Odyssey DLC Set for July Release

SEATTLE, Wash. — Rimworld, a popular colony simulation game first released in 2018, is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated 1.6 update and Odyssey DLC next month.

The Odyssey DLC includes exciting new features, such as the ability to build a gravship, allowing players to create a mobile second base. This ship enhances gameplay by enabling players to venture into space and requiring the construction of protective systems like oxygen and heating.

In addition to the gravship, the Odyssey DLC will introduce a variety of new environments, including ruined cities, grasslands, lava fields, and icy plains. Players can expect to encounter landmarks, new animals, and quests, along with unique gear like a sawed-off shotgun and a golden revolver.

Alongside the DLC, the free 1.6 update promises significant performance improvements and quality-of-life changes, including better tools for designing bases. Players will also enjoy new caravan features, increased map variety, and even flying chickens.
