Rising DJ John Summit Headlines Chicago Music Festival

This weekend, the city of Chicago is set to host a major event in the electronic music scene as rising house music DJ and Naperville native, John Summit, brings his talents to Northerly Island. The three-day festival, titled ‘John Summit and Friends,’ will take place from Thursday through Saturday at the Huntington Bank Pavilion located at 1300 S. Linn White Drive.

The festival has garnered significant attention, with both Friday and Saturday already sold out. However, resale tickets are available online through platforms such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation. It is important to note that attendees must be 18 years or older in order to participate in the event.

John Summit is recognized as “a rising star” within the industry, particularly known for his hits like “Make Me Feel” and “Forgotten One.” His debut album ‘Comfort in Chaos,’ which explores themes of human duality, was released on July 24, 2024, and has already achieved more than 280 million streams on Spotify.

Describing his rapid rise to fame, Summit attributes his breakthrough to the release of “Deep End” in 2020, just one year after he pivoted from a career in accounting to pursue his passion in music. Previously associated with Ernst & Young, Summit’s journey took a dramatic turn when he was let go from his job in 2019, propelling him into the music scene where he began playing at venues that hosted about 200 guests.

The ‘John Summit and Friends’ festival lines up several distinguished names in the electronic music world, including hybrid techno DJ Kevin de Vries, California dance music artist Max Styler, and pop and electronic music professional Chris Avantgarde, among others. Summit’s social media presence is also noteworthy as he frequently appears in the posts of his TikTok influencer girlfriend, Ashtin Earle, and her sister, Alix Earle.
