Rory Mcilroy Happy Gilmore 2 Cameo

New York, NY – Rory McIlroy, the Masters champion, shared exciting details about his cameo in the upcoming film ‘Happy Gilmore 2′ during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on May 1. The highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 classic starring Adam Sandler is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25.

McIlroy expressed his longtime admiration for the original film, stating, “Happy Gilmore was the golf movie for me growing up. I can recite pretty much every line.” He added that while he is thrilled to participate, fans should temper their expectations regarding his acting skills. “I’m a much better golfer than I am an actor,” he joked.

Working alongside Sandler was an exciting experience for McIlroy. “Sandler is, like, the best. He’s the absolute best,” he said. He compared Sandler’s role in the film to that of a director and producer who managed many aspects of the production. “It was a full-time job for him, but he’s a true pro,” McIlroy noted.

‘Happy Gilmore 2’ brings back original cast members including Julie Bowen and Chris McDonald, with new additions like actor Bill Hader. Details about the film’s plot remain largely under wraps, but Sandler previously hinted at its focus on an older golfer dealing with life challenges.

In addition to his cinematic endeavors, McIlroy recently received congratulations from Tiger Woods, marking his achievement of joining an elite group of golfers.

<p"Out of anyone there, how many people can actually say they’re in 'Happy Gilmore 2' with Adam Sandler?" Fallon quipped, highlighting the unique nature of McIlroy's experience.
