Ryan Gosling And Mark Ronson Deliver Spectacular Performance Of 'i'm Just Ken' At The Oscars

Hollywood’s biggest night was even more memorable as Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson took the stage at the Oscars to perform their hit track ‘I’m Just Ken’ from the ‘Barbie’ film.

Gosling, dressed in a striking pink, bedazzled custom Gucci suit, started the show from the audience, singing to his co-star Margot Robbie. He was joined by a group of dancing Kens including Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Ncuti Gatwa as they made their way to the stage. Legendary guitarist Slash also made a special appearance during the performance.

The performance continued as Gosling interacted with fellow actors in the audience, with Robbie, America Ferrera, Greta Gerwig, and Emma Stone joining in to sing along. The live rendition of ‘I’m Just Ken’ was a standout moment of the night.

Other nominees for Best Original Song at the Oscars included Jon Batiste, Becky G, Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell, Scott George, and the Osage Singers. Each artist brought their unique flair to the ceremony with their powerful performances.

The song ‘What Was I Made For?’ from ‘Barbie’ by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell emerged as the winner in the Best Original Song category, marking Eilish’s second Oscar win at just 22 years old, breaking a record set many years ago.

The success of ‘Barbie’ extended beyond the song category, with multiple nominations in various categories including Best Picture, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, and Screenplay.

Dua Lipa‘s track ‘Dance the Night’ from another popular film was also in contention but did not secure a nomination due to the Academy’s rules limiting the recognition of songs from a single film.

The 96th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood with Jimmy Kimmel hosting the event for the fourth time, drawing in a star-studded crowd of Hollywood elites.
