Ryan Gosling Performs 'i'm Just Ken' At Oscars With Star Studded Cast And Slash

Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson took the stage at the Academy Awards to perform their Barbie hit ‘I’m Just Ken.’

Gosling kicked off the performance from his seat in the audience behind co-star Margot Robbie, donned a hot pink, bedazzled Gucci suit, gloves, and sunglasses. He was joined by Kens from the Barbie film including Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa, and more, all in suits with tails and top hats. Slash made a special appearance during the performance.

As Gosling ventured into the audience, fellow Barbie co-stars Robbie, America Ferrera, and Greta Gerwig sang alongside. Emma Stone also chimed in. The other Oscar-nominated songs included performances by Jon Batiste, Becky G, Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell, and Scott George and the Osage Singers.

Batiste sang ‘It Never Went Away,’ Becky G performed ‘The Fire Inside,’ Scott George and the Osage Singers showcased ‘Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People),’ and Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell shone with their song ‘What Was I Made For?’ which won the best original song trophy.

The song nominations for Greta Gerwig’s film mark multiple nominations for the night. Gerwig and Noah Baumbach were recognized for adapted screenplay, costume design, and production design as well.

Dua Lipa‘s ‘Dance the Night’ from another film was also considered for the best original song category but did not receive a nomination due to only allowing two songs per film. The 96th annual Academy Awards aired live on ABC, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting.
