Taysom Hill And Foster Moreau Nfl Game

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The New Orleans Saints have activated quarterback Taysom Hill and tight end Foster Moreau from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list ahead of their game against the New York Giants on Sunday. This decision indicates that both players will make their season debuts after recovering from knee injuries sustained last year.

Taysom Hill, 35, sustained a significant knee injury on December 1, 2024, which limited him to eight games in the previous season. Foster Moreau suffered a knee injury in the last game of the 2024 season on January 5, 2025. Together, the duo accounted for 11 touchdowns last season.

To create roster space for Hill and Moreau, the Saints placed wide receiver Trey Palmer on injured reserve and waived rookie tight end Moliki Matavao. Hill expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return, acknowledging a long emotional journey through rehabilitation. “I felt all the emotions over the last nine, ten months. So to be standing here right now and being able to be out at practice with my teammates … it’s an emotional thing, it’s one where you’re filled with gratitude,” Hill said.

Moreau also shared his enthusiasm about returning to the field. “I have to anticipate playing as soon as possible,” he said. “That’s my job, and so it’s like, knowing that … makes it extremely difficult, but after today I felt great. I was really enthusiastic about the performance.”

Head coach Kellen Moore has not officially defined Hill’s role for the game, but he is expected to function as a backup quarterback, potentially impacting various offensive scenarios. Hill has practiced both as a quarterback and tight end, showcasing his versatility.

The Saints are currently 0-4 and are looking for a much-needed victory against the Giants, who stand at 1-3. The game will kick off at noon at the Caesars Superdome.
