Salernitana management is pondering the future of striker Boulaye Dia following a string of controversies and disappointments. Coach Fabio Liverani expressed his frustration after Dia’s lackluster performance last weekend against Udinese, indicating that the player is no longer in his plans.

This latest incident adds to a series of clashes between Dia and the club. Reports suggest that Dia was approached by English club Wolves earlier, although no deal materialized. Furthermore, the player’s decision to skip an international call-up for Senegal in September strained relations further.

Despite a release clause in his contract that expired in mid-January, no club pursued Dia in the winter transfer window. Interest from Spartak Moscow and others waned due to concerns over the striker’s injury record.
