The Samsun-Çarşamba Airport has announced that it facilitated travel for over 1 million passengers in the first nine months of 2024. This information was released by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The statistics shed light on the operational performance of the airport from January to September.

According to the figures, the airport witnessed a total passenger traffic of 1,095,815. The breakdown of this statistic reveals that, in September alone, 109,318 travelers were recorded on domestic flights, while 18,716 came through international routes. As a result, the airport served a total of 128,034 passengers during that month.

Furthermore, flight operations at Samsun-Çarşamba Airport kept a steady pace, with a recorded flight traffic of 10,536 for the nine months into the year. Specifically, September statistics highlighted 1,231 domestic flights and 149 international flights, amounting to 1,380 in total.

Additionally, the airport handled a cargo movement, including mail and luggage, totaling 10,873 tons from January through September. The statistics for September indicated a load capacity of 1,383 tons.
