San Diego Comic-Con Málaga Thanks Fans After Inaugural Event Success

Málaga, Spain – San Diego Comic-Con Málaga (SDCCM) has issued a heartfelt thank you to its fans after the first edition of the international event, which took place from September 25 to 28, 2025, at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga. With 96,000 attendees from 20 different countries, the event surpassed all expectations.
The organization shared its gratitude in a letter that will be released this weekend. ‘This was a project made with much love, years in the making. We are honored by the overwhelming turnout and incredible passion of the fans,’ the letter states.
The organizers acknowledged both the success of the event and the challenges faced by attendees, particularly long wait times. ‘We want to thank you for sharing your honest opinions on how we can improve,’ the statement continued. They have opened a period of reflection to prepare for the next event in 2026.
‘We have not only listened to your frustrations, but we have taken them very seriously,’ the organizers emphasized. Active listening has become their main objective as they work to improve the experience for fans. ‘We are actively working to ensure that the issues that arose do not happen again,’ they stated.
The high attendance rate led to queues for entry into the venue, exhibition halls, and auditoriums. The SDCCM aimed to bring the original spirit of San Diego Comic-Con to Málaga, wanting it to be a source of local pride.
Organizers will focus on optimizing space distribution and event layout to streamline attendee movement for 2026. ‘We hope to work together to make San Diego Comic-Con Málaga an incredible experience for fans across Spain and beyond,’ the letter adds.
SDCCM concluded their message with heartfelt thanks: ‘We ask for the opportunity to improve and provide you with a better experience, because like the San Diego Comic-Con, you are the reason we do what we do.’
