Savannah Bananas Unveil 2026 Plans in Major Selection Show

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah Bananas will showcase their future this Thursday, October 9, during the highly anticipated 2026 City Selection Show. This event, broadcast live from Grayson Stadium, aims to introduce the league’s host cities and two new expansion teams, kicking off the Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL).
The selection show is set to run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. ET, with organizers promising an hour-and-a-half of excitement, including musical performances and special guests. This follows a successful 2025 World Tour that attracted over 2 million fans across 40 cities.
The Bananas are known for their unique style of baseball, played in unconventional venues, such as Major League Baseball and NFL stadiums. For the upcoming season, organizers expect games at large venues like Fenway Park and Camden Yards, expanding their reach and audience.
Although in-person tickets for the show are sold out, fans can catch the live telecast on ESPN2, ESPN+, Disney+, and the Bananas’ YouTube channel. “This is the beginning of something bigger,” said a representative, highlighting the league’s plans to enhance competition and national visibility.
In addition to the selection announcements, the show will also bring updates on the Bananas’ community engagement. Recently, the team partnered with Make-A-Wish Georgia to fulfill the dream of 11-year-old Barrett, who wished to be a part of the team. This speaks to the franchise’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for fans both on and off the field.
Fans are eager to see if Banana Ball will return to their cities, with excitement building for the announcement amid a wave of support from a growing fan base.
