Scottish Figures Honored in King’s Birthday Honours List
Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, along with ex-Scotland international footballers Graeme Souness and Ally McCoist, are among the Scots recognized in the King’s Birthday Honours list.
Mr. Brown becomes a Companion of Honour for public and charitable services in the UK and abroad. Graeme Souness is made a CBE for services to football and charity, while Ally McCoist receives an MBE. Golfers Sandy Lyle and Stephen Gallacher also receive OBEs and MBEs respectively.
