LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Scout Willis, the 33-year-old daughter of actress Demi Moore, publicly supported her sister Tallulah’s recent comments regarding their former stepfather, Ashton Kutcher, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on April 9, 2025. Scout stated that their family handled the divorce between Moore and Kutcher with ‘a lot of mutual respect.’

During the interview, Scout reflected on the impact of her parents’ divorce on her upbringing, saying, ‘I think that really is the way forward for everything is just, like, putting the children first.’ Her remarks come in response to Tallulah’s rare remarks about their relationship with Kutcher, whom their mother was married to from 2005 to 2013.

‘No one has to be the bad guy,’ Tallulah commented in a recent social media post. Scout echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the divorce was approached ‘with absolute grace and love,’ further highlighting the importance of respect in navigating family complexities.

Scout noted she was not aware of her sister’s comments initially, stating to Entertainment Tonight, ‘That’s not the way I hold it or my mom holds it.’ She agreed with Tallulah, adding, ‘It’s just like putting the children first and handling everything with mutual respect.’

Tallulah’s comments were made in the context of a discussion on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Instagram post about blended families, where she expressed her experiences with stepparenting. In her remarks, Tallulah said, ‘I have a lot to say on this! Especially how to move through an ex-step parent.’ She later confirmed that her comments did pertain to Kutcher when a follower asked about it.

Both sisters seem to reflect a broader sentiment of openness and healing in their family dynamics. Tallulah mentioned, ‘It’s an important conversation tbh,’ which highlights the ongoing discussions about relationships in blended families.

Ashton Kutcher, who was married to Moore for eight years, has publicly addressed his role as a stepfather to Tallulah and her sisters, Rumer and Scout. Despite the divorce, Kutcher has maintained a positive relationship with them, expressing in past interviews that he continues to love and support them.

Looking back on her childhood, Tallulah has shared her struggles with the public scrutiny due to her family’s fame, revealing in a past episode of Fox’s reality show, Stars on Mars, that she often felt overwhelmed. ‘It was really hard, and I’m still unpacking,’ said Tallulah, who has since embraced her family and their dynamics.

As the sisters continue to navigate their relationships and the aftermath of their parents’ splits, their comments suggest a commitment to fostering understanding and mutual respect within their family.
