SEC Baseball Tournament Game Postponed Due to Severe Weather

HOOVER, Ala. (May 20, 2025) – Game Four of the SEC Baseball Tournament has been postponed because of severe weather threats in Hoover.
Severe storms are impacting areas to the north of Hoover, with Central Alabama expected to face storms later on Tuesday evening. The SEC made the decision to postpone the game between Mississippi State and Texas A&M to ensure the safety of fans and participants.
The game will now be played at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21. This change will also affect the next matchups for Alabama and Auburn.
The updated schedule for Wednesday includes: Game 4: Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M at 9:30 a.m., Game 5: Alabama vs. Tennessee at TBD, and Game 6: Oklahoma vs. Georgia at 4:30 p.m. Game 7 will feature the winner of Game 3 against Ole Miss, with the time also to be determined.
On Thursday, Game 8 will see the winner of Game 4 face Auburn at 11 a.m., followed by Game 9 at 3 p.m. featuring the winner of Game 5 versus Texas.
Auburn was originally set to play later on Wednesday, but their game will now be delayed until Thursday. Whoever wins the Mississippi State vs. Texas A&M game will move on to play 3-seed LSU at the end of the week.
For fans planning to attend Thursday’s game, Auburn has informed them to use tickets from Session Four, which will also be valid for Games Six and Seven on Wednesday.
As the tournament progresses, fans can expect thrilling matchups as teams vie for the championship title.
