Security Guard Shot Outside Drake’s Toronto Mansion Sparks Investigation Amid Rumors of Feud
A security guard was seriously injured in a shooting outside the lavish Toronto estate of the iconic Canadian rapper, Drake, in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident took place at the exclusive Park Lane Circle residence, nestled in the upscale Bridle Path neighborhood, where police cordoned off the premises for investigation.
Providing updates at the scene, Toronto police’s Insp. Paul Krawczyk mentioned the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. ET, refraining from confirming whether Drake, born Aubrey Graham, was present during the incident. However, law enforcement is actively cooperating with Drake’s team as the inquiry progresses.
While details remain scarce, initial reports from a police source hinted at a possible drive-by shooting. The injured security guard sustained a gunshot wound to the upper chest and was found unconscious before being swiftly transported to the hospital for urgent surgery.
Krawczyk, avoiding speculation on motives, acknowledged the involvement of a vehicle in the shooting. Although descriptions of the vehicle and suspects were not disclosed, authorities have managed to retrieve security camera footage capturing the unsettling event, with plans to gather additional surveillance footage.
Amidst this unsettling scenario, Drake’s ongoing clashes with various musical artists have piqued public interest. Of significance is the escalating feud with California-based rapper Kendrick Lamar, marked by a recent flurry of diss tracks exchanging contentious accusations.
Notably, Lamar’s latest diss track, ‘Not Like Us,’ features a provocative satellite image of Drake’s expansive 50,000-square-foot residence, adorned with distinct red locator markers that have sparked intrigue among fans and the media alike.
