Selena Gomez Teases New Song ‘Talk’ Ahead of Upcoming Album Release

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Selena Gomez is turning up the heat with her new song titled “Talk,” which is set to appear on her upcoming joint album with fiancé Chris Blanco, titled I Said I Love You First. The singer and actress shared the teaser for the sultry track on Friday, Feb. 28, creating buzz among fans.
In the teaser, Gomez is seen sitting in a car and staring sensuously at the camera while lip-syncing to the upbeat dance track. The song features lyrics that are evocative, including the line, “I’ma call you daddy, ’cause I know you like that.” The single, which appears to sample Cake‘s 1998 hit “Never There,” sends a clear message of confidence and desire.
Blanco, who also serves as a collaborator on the album, responded to the teaser in the comments section, playfully stating, “i do like that,” which fans interpreted as support for Gomez’s latest artistic endeavor.
The teaser for “Talk” follows the release of the single “Call Me When You Break Up,” featuring Gracie Abrams, and comes just ahead of the lead single, “Scared of Loving You,” which debuted to positive reviews. The full album, I Said I Love You First, is slated for release on March 21. This will be Gomez’s first album since her 2020 chart-topping release, Rare.
Gomez and Blanco first announced the upcoming project on Valentine’s Day, sharing insights into the creative process behind the 14 tracks. In a conversation with Interview published on the same day, Blanco remarked on how they approached the collaboration with caution, stating, “We said at the beginning, ‘If this ever is weird, we cancel it f—king immediately.'” Gomez added that the experience was laid-back, often finding her recording vocals while snuggled in a blanket. She described her initial nervousness but noted that the collaborative effort eventually fell into place, filled with hard work and love.
The anticipation builds as fans eagerly await the full release of the song and album. Watch the teaser for “Talk” below.
