Ram Charan‘s highly anticipated political thriller, Game Changer, directed by Shankar, is facing unexpected delays in its US release due to extreme weather conditions. The film, which is set to premiere in India on January 10, has encountered logistical challenges in delivering physical content drives to theaters across the United States.

According to US distributors, the Telugu version of Game Changer was received on January 8 and successfully delivered to electronically downloaded sites. However, physical drives destined for theaters in the Los Angeles area and the Midwest have been delayed due to wildfires and a snowstorm, respectively. Some hard drives are reportedly stuck at cargo hubs, causing concerns about timely deliveries.

The distributors are working tirelessly to resolve the issue and ensure that the drives reach theaters as soon as possible. Meanwhile, fans in certain locations have expressed frustration over show cancellations, highlighting the challenges of coordinating a global release for one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

Game Changer, produced by Dil Raju, boasts a star-studded cast including Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, and Anjali. The film, with a reported budget of ₹500 crore, features five songs alone costing ₹75 crore to produce. Shankar, known for his extravagant filmmaking style, has previously set records with his lavish productions, including the ₹20 crore song Yanthara Lokapu Sundarive from the film 2.0.

The film is set to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, marking Shankar’s debut in Telugu cinema. Despite the US delays, Indian audiences are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, with early morning shows in Telangana scheduled to begin at 4 am on January 10.
