Sharon Osbourne Anxiously Removes Band from Ozzy’s Final Black Sabbath Concert

BIRMINGHAM, England — Sharon Osbourne announced that she has removed a band from the lineup of the upcoming Back to the Beginning concert for her husband Ozzy Osbourne‘s farewell performance with Black Sabbath. The concert is slated for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, marking the first time the legendary heavy metal group has performed together in two decades.
Sharon revealed in an interview that tensions with the band’s manager led to the decision, stating, “I had a huge, huge to-do with a manager over this celebration for Ozzy and Sabbath.” She expressed her distress over the situation, saying it was “probably the worst way I’ve felt in years,” and criticized the manager for spreading misinformation about her.
While the identity of the removed band remains a mystery, speculation arose that it could be Tool, whose name was initially missing from promotional materials. However, it has been confirmed that Tool will still perform at the concert. Sharon maintained, “I don’t care what this person says about me, thinks about it, because he doesn’t know me,” while addressing the controversy.
Other acts expected to take the stage include Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Lamb of God, Mastodon, and Rival Sons, alongside surprise guests and a supergroup with members from Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine.
In a heartwarming statement, Ozzy Osbourne expressed his dedication to performing despite battling significant health issues. “I’ll be there, and I’ll do the best I can,” he assured fans, indicating his commitment to give back to his home city.
The concert will support several charities, including Cure Parkinson’s and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Black Sabbath, formed in 1968, is celebrated for pioneering heavy metal and aims to conclude their legacy with this emotional final performance.
