The U.S. women’s gymnastics team is on its way to the Paris Olympics, and they did it in style!

With an impressive score of 172.296 during the qualifying round, gymnasts Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera demonstrated why they’re a force to be reckoned with.

In this competition format, each team has four gymnasts perform on each event. The lowest score gets tossed out, helping teams score higher overall. Out of five groups, the eight teams with the highest scores move on to the final.

The U.S. team, fresh from a silver medal performance in Tokyo, stood out with Biles, Lee, and Chiles taking the top three spots in the all-around scores.

Looking ahead, the women’s team final is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30, at 12:15 p.m. ET, and fans can catch all the excitement on NBC and Peacock. Individual finals will follow from August 1 to August 5.

The atmosphere during the qualifying round was electric, with a star-studded crowd cheering the athletes on. Among the famous spectators were Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and Jessica Chastain, who were seen enjoying the performances.

Even the music world was represented, as Snoop Dogg was in attendance and having a great time, dancing in his seat. Other stars like John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Nick Jonas, and Anna Wintour were also spotted supporting the gymnasts.

This event marked Biles’ return to competitive gymnastics in Paris, adding even more significance to her performance as she aims to add to her remarkable collection of seven Olympic medals.

Despite experiencing some discomfort in her left leg, Biles and her teammates excelled in their routines, putting their best foot forward in this qualification round.

As the gymnastics competition heats up in Paris, many fellow athletes, including LeBron James, have expressed their excitement to see Biles showcase her incredible skills one more time.
