Skateboarders Celebrate St. Patrick's Day At Albuquerque Skate Park

Skateboard enthusiasts of all ages braved the overcast skies and blustering winds on Sunday at the renowned North Domingo Baca Skate Park in Albuquerque. The occasion was the City of Albuquerque‘s St. Patrick’s Day Skate Jam, drawing a vibrant crowd of skaters eager to showcase their talents.

Amid the challenging weather conditions reminiscent of Irish climes, participants took turns executing impressive tricks off ramps and deftly maneuvering around obstacles such as traffic cones. The atmosphere was electric as skaters showcased their skills, demonstrating the dedication and passion that underpins the skating community.

Prizes were up for grabs during the event, with winners of trick competitions and long jump contests walking away with coveted items such as beanies and custom St. Patrick’s Day skateboards. The sense of camaraderie and friendly competition added to the festive spirit of the day, highlighting the strong sense of community within the skating world.

Preston Frey was among the standout performers of the day, wowing spectators with his skill and creativity on the skateboard. Capturing the action was Nathan Duran, who diligently recorded the impressive feats on his phone, immortalizing the memorable moments shared at the St. Patrick’s Day Skate Jam.
