Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Hospitalized Due to Serious Burns
Sid Wilson, the turntablist for the heavy metal band Slipknot, has been hospitalized due to serious burns sustained from an explosion during a bonfire incident on his farm.
In a video shared from his hospital bed, Wilson reassured fans that he was going to be “OK” despite the injuries he incurred. He revealed that the explosion affected his face and arms.
The musician mentioned he was undergoing tests, including a chest X-ray, to ensure he had not inhaled flames during the explosion. He displayed his injuries, including singed facial hair and blistered skin.
Wilson emphasized his determination to recover, stating, “I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour,” expressing his intent to perform at the upcoming Rocklahoma festival next weekend.
Kelly Osbourne, who is in a relationship with Wilson, also shared a video warning others about the dangers associated with burn piles. She noted, “This is why you don’t f*** with burn piles,” explaining how the incident occurred.
In an official statement, Slipknot confirmed that Wilson is recovering and will still perform at their shows, thanking supporters for their well-wishes. The band has plans for a global tour starting in September, with performances in various locations across the US and Europe.
