The Smashing Pumpkins Drop Surprise New Album!

The Chicago alt. rock legends, The Smashing Pumpkins, have just surprised everyone with their brand new album titled ‘Aghori Mhori Mei’. This unexpected release marks their 13th studio album and fans are buzzing with excitement!

The band kept a tight lid on the details, announcing the album only two weeks before it hit the shelves. They didn’t share any advance singles, which is pretty rare these days. According to the band, they wanted listeners to take in the album as a whole experience, saying, “We’re proud of what we’ve done, but we want people to hear the record as one body of work.”

Frontman Billy Corgan shared his thoughts on the inspiration behind this new album. He mentioned how the saying “You can’t go home again” led him to explore the idea of returning to their music-making roots from the 1990s. This isn’t about nostalgia but rather a fresh way to move forward with their sound.

On a similar note in the rock world, Jack White also released a surprising album called ‘No Name‘. This album was given a secret vinyl-only release in July and is now available for everyone. White has been performing in small events leading up to the album’s release, with one of his next shows in Detroit on August 5.

The Smashing Pumpkins aren’t just releasing new music; they are currently on tour, performing at various festivals and headlining shows, including dates with the iconic rock band Green Day. It’s definitely an exciting time for rock music fans!
