SNL Fans Await New Episodes After March 22 Rerun

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Fans of “Saturday Night Live” will find themselves without a new episode on March 22, 2025, as the show is set to re-air a previously aired episode from December 21, 2024. This episode, hosted by Martin Short with musical guest Hozier, includes a special cold open featuring members of the illustrious Five-Timers Club.
Despite the lack of a new SNL episode this weekend, the show kicks off a new round of episodes starting March 29, 2025. Mikey Madison, known for her role in the film “Anora,” will make her hosting debut. She will be accompanied by country artist Morgan Wallen in his second appearance as SNL’s musical guest.
This marks the second consecutive weekend that SNL has opted to air a rerun. The March 22 episode will include fan-favorite sketches from Short’s five-time hosting career, showcasing his comedic repertoire alongside guest appearances from notable SNL alumni.
On the upcoming March 29 episode, Madison is expected to bring her Academy Award-winning charm to the SNL stage, while Wallen will deliver his musical stylings following his previous controversy regarding COVID-19 safety protocols during a past appearance.
Earlier this month, SNL kicked off March with two consecutive live episodes, featuring major personalities like Shane Gillis, who hosted on March 1, and Lady Gaga, who performed and hosted on March 8, drawing attention to the show’s celebrated legacy.
Additionally, the season is set to continue with exciting installments featuring Jack Black on April 5 and Jon Hamm on April 12, making it an eventful 50th season for the iconic sketch comedy show.
The upcoming episodes promise an exciting blend of humor and musical performances, maintaining SNL’s status as a staple of American television. Viewers are encouraged to check local listings for details and tune in at 11:30 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
