Social Media Star KT Smith Announces Split from Husband After 9 Months

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Social media influencer KT Smith, 30, announced her separation from husband Luke Scornavacco on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, just nine months after their surprise wedding. The couple, who tied the knot in April 2024, shared the news via Instagram, where Smith has amassed a significant following.

“As difficult as it is to share this, I know that a lot of you guys have been invested in our relationship since we used to post together a lot at the beginning of our relationship,” Smith wrote. “Luke and I have decided to separate.”

Smith, who shares a 4-year-old son, Indigo, with country singer Morgan Wallen, emphasized that the split was amicable. “There truly isn’t much to share. We both have to do what’s best for us, as well as Indigo, while he’s still as young as he is,” she added. “There’s nothing but love on both sides.”

The couple’s whirlwind romance began with a romantic engagement at Magnolia Farm in Eagleville, Tenn., in March 2024. Scornavacco proposed under a floral arch, with Smith wearing a long white dress. The engagement was documented on Instagram, where Smith shared a close-up of her square-shaped diamond ring from Brilliant Earth.

Just days after their engagement, the couple surprised fans by announcing their marriage in April 2024. They shared a series of photos from what appeared to be an engagement shoot, with the final image revealing a marriage certificate from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office. “03/29/24: when dreams turned to reality ✨,” they captioned the post.

Smith and Scornavacco’s relationship had been a frequent topic on social media, with fans closely following their journey. Their last joint Instagram post was in October 2024, when they celebrated Halloween as a family with Indigo.

Before her relationship with Scornavacco, Smith was in an on-again, off-again relationship with Morgan Wallen, 31, from 2016 to 2019. The pair welcomed their son, Indigo, in July 2020, a year after their split. Wallen, who has faced his share of controversies, has spoken openly about the impact of fatherhood on his life. “It gives me something to focus on that’s not just all about myself,” he told a media outlet in December 2023.
