Solo Leveling Season 2: New Trailer, Opening Theme, and Theatrical Screening Details Revealed

Excitement is building for fans of the anime series *Solo Leveling* as Crunchyroll has unveiled a brand-new trailer and key details for Season 2. The highly anticipated second season, titled *Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-,* is set to premiere in January 2025.

The new trailer teases never-before-seen footage from the first two episodes of the season, titled “You aren’t E-rank, are You?” and “I Suppose You aren’t Aware.” These episodes will also be featured in the North American theatrical screening of *Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-* on December 6, 2024. This special screening will give fans an early glimpse into the upcoming season.

The opening theme song for Season 2, titled “ReawakeR,” is performed by the renowned artist LiSA, featuring Felix from the South Korean boy band Stray Kids. Hiroyuki Sawano, known for his work on *Attack on Titan* and *Promare,* returns as the composer for the new opening theme and the entire second season. LiSA has a notable track record, having performed theme songs for anime like *Fate/Zero,* *Sword Art Online,* and *Demon Slayer*.

The story of *Solo Leveling* is set in a world where ‘hunters’ with superhuman powers conquer dungeons within ‘gates’ that connect different dimensions. The protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, initially the weakest hunter, gains extraordinary powers through a mysterious quest, allowing him to level up and become one of the strongest hunters. The second season promises to continue this compelling narrative.

In addition to the trailer and theme song reveal, *Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-* will also screen in select theaters in the U.S. and Canada, courtesy of Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures. This compilation film includes a recap of the first season and a preview of the first two episodes of Season 2.
