Somerset College 2023 Matrics Celebrate Outstanding Academic Achievements

Somerset College has once again showcased its commitment to academic excellence as the matrics of 2023 celebrate their outstanding achievements. With an average of 3.2 A symbols per student, the school maintains its exceptional standards. The remarkable milestone of a 100% Bachelor Degree pass rate ensures that all students have open doors to higher education.

Honoring their remarkable dedication and performance, several Somerset College students excelled at the IEB national level. Helen Basson received a Commendable Achievement award for ranking within the top 5% in five subjects and achieving an A symbol in Life Orientation. Aidan Akdogan, Jessie Conolly, Laura Staley, and Lisa Verwey were awarded Outstanding Achievement Awards for ranking within the top 5% in six or more subjects and achieving an A symbol in Life Orientation. Additionally, Somerset College proudly earned 24 Top 1% awards, highlighting the students’ excellence across various subjects.

A testament to Somerset College’s commitment to academic excellence, its average performance outshined the national IEB average in almost all academic departments. This accomplishment serves as a testament to the resilience and professionalism of the teaching body at Somerset College.

The matrics of 2023 deserve recognition for their remarkable fortitude and resilience throughout the challenges faced, including the Covid Pandemic.
