Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam has recently sold a commercial property in the bustling area of Andheri West, Mumbai, for a whopping ₹7 crore. According to documents accessed by Propstack, this property spans a built-up area of 2131 square feet, with a per square foot rate of ₹32,848.

The sale deed for this property was officially registered on June 28, 2024. Interestingly, it also includes two designated car parking spaces, which is a valuable addition in the crowded city.

In a related note, Sonu’s father, Agam Kumar Nigam, also made headlines earlier this year when he purchased a property in the same city for ₹12 crore. This property, boasting a built-up area of 2022.88 square feet, involved a hefty stamp duty of ₹72 lakh.

Last year, Sonu Nigam himself expanded his real estate portfolio by acquiring two commercial properties in Andheri, covering a total area of 5547 square feet, for ₹11.37 crore.

The trend continues with other Bollywood stars as well. For instance, Karishma Kapoor recently rented out a commercial space in Bandra West to Kongsberg Maritime India Private Limited for ₹5 lakh per month, showing how the stars are not only investing in properties but also making interesting rental deals.

Similarly, in May, Ajay Devgn leased an office space in Andheri West for a monthly rent of ₹9 lakh over a five-year period. It seems like the real estate market among celebrities is booming, especially for commercial properties!
