Sony Unveils WH-1000XM6 Headphones with Improved Features and Higher Price

New York, NY — Sony has launched its latest noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM6, priced at $449.99, which is a $50 increase from the previous model, the WH-1000XM5.

The WH-1000XM6 headphones arrive three years after their last predecessor and focus on sound quality, noise cancellation, and hardware refinements rather than a major design change. The headphones feature a mix of design elements from previous models, making them the most premium option in the series.

Notably, the new headphones can fold again, a functionality missing in the WH-1000XM5. This design improvement allows for easier packing and a significantly smaller carrying case, which now uses a magnetic clasp instead of a zipper. This allows for one-handed operation, providing an upgraded user experience.

In addition to foldability, the WH-1000XM6 includes a wider headband, enhanced removable ear cups, and a revamped power button for easier identification. Importantly, the headphones can also be charged while in use, a change that brings more convenience.
