Teamlfg Studio Announcement Playstation

Bellevue, WA — Sony Interactive Entertainment announced today the formation of a new studio, teamLFG, aimed at creating immersive gaming experiences. According to CEO Hermen Hulst, the studio originates from talents at Bungie, now bringing together developers from across the gaming industry.

teamLFG is officially welcomed into the PlayStation Studios family and is ready to embark on its ambitious incubation project. The studio focuses on developing action-based games where players can find community and friendship, rather than just competing for ranks.

In a statement, teamLFG expressed excitement about the project, saying, “We are passionate about exceptional action-based gameplay, moment-to-moment game feel, and richly social virtual worlds.” Based in Bellevue, the studio includes both on-site staff and remote members working across the U.S. and Canada.

The name teamLFG stands for “Looking For Group,” highlighting the studio’s mission to foster social connections among players. They aim to create games that encourage camaraderie and shared experiences, where players log in to find familiar friends online.

teamLFG’s first title is set to be a team-based action game inspired by various genres, including fighting games and platformers. The studio plans to maintain close ties with its player community through early access playtests, ensuring player feedback shapes the game’s development.

<p"It's critical that we stay nimble enough to react to player feedback, not just in our lead-up to launch, but throughout live service as we continue to grow the game and community for years to come," teamLFG stated.

No release date or additional details are available about the upcoming game, but the gaming community is eager to see what teamLFG has in store.
