South Park Season 27 Official Trailer

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The long-awaited 27th season of the hit animated series South Park is set to premiere on July 9, 2025. The announcement follows a two-year hiatus since the conclusion of Season 26, which aired earlier this year.

Season 26, which consisted of six episodes, debuted on Comedy Central in February 2023 and concluded in March 2023. Additionally, there were three specials directed by series co-creator Trey Parker that were broadcast between October 2023 and March 2024.

The trailer for the upcoming season offers a glimpse of the outrageous scenarios fans can expect. Central to the teaser is a scene involving Diddy, who appears to chase the South Park kids through space while wielding a gun. Other notable moments include clashes with Canada, chaotic toilet scenes, and numerous airplane crashes.

One memorable quote from the trailer features Randy Marsh, Stan’s father, who says, “It’s ok, Sharon, I’m just going to do some ketamine and f*ck around with the government a little, see ya.” This sets the tone for the series’ signature blend of humor that addresses contemporary issues.

Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park has garnered a cult following since its launch on August 13, 1997. The series revolves around four boys—Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny—and has evolved over the years to reflect various societal themes. Parker, Stone, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II, continue to helm the production.

The upcoming season is part of a broader deal reportedly worth around $900 million, which extends the series through Season 30 in 2027. Parker and Stone expressed their desire to navigate political events creatively, stating they want to avoid the complexities surrounding presidential elections. Stone remarked, “We’ve tried to do South Park through four or five presidential elections, and it is such a hard thing to— it’s such a mind scramble.”

Parker added, “It’s f***ing important, but it kind of takes over everything and we just have less fun. I don’t know what more we could possibly say about Trump.”

As fans eagerly await the return of the show, the teaser promises not just humor but a reflection on current events, tackling everything from celebrity culture to international relations. For those interested, the season 27 teaser is available for viewing online.
