Southern Saskatchewan Faces Severe Winter Storm Warning With Heavy Snowfall Predicted

Environment and Climate Change Canada has escalated the winter storm alert for Southern Saskatchewan to a winter storm warning.

The forecast includes a winter storm featuring intense snowfall, anticipating 25-35 cm of snow, coupled with gusty winds approaching 70 km/h, which is set to impact the province from Saturday through Monday night.

Blowing snow is predicted to decrease visibility, creating dangerous travel conditions.

Stay updated on highway conditions through the Highway Hotline and, if feasible, avoid travel in the affected regions.

Authorities in various communities are recommending individuals to stay indoors if feasible during the anticipated hazardous conditions.
