Spectrum Adds Peacock Premium to Video Plans for Streaming Access

STAMFORD, Conn. and NEW YORK, March 27, 2025 — Spectrum and NBCUniversal have partnered to offer all Spectrum TV Select customers complimentary access to Peacock Premium, NBCUniversal’s ad-supported streaming service, enhancing their video subscription without any additional fees.
The announcement, made on March 27, 2025, means that Spectrum TV Select customers will receive Peacock Premium as part of their subscription, which normally retails for $7.99 per month. This integration allows customers to view a wide array of content including live sports, news, and entertainment programming from well-known brands such as NBC, Bravo, Universal Pictures, and DreamWorks Animation.
“The integration of Peacock advances our goal of offering customers high-value video products that include the best of linear and streaming television,” said Tom Montemagno, executive vice president of programming acquisition for Spectrum. “Peacock’s inclusion means customers in our most popular packages now enjoy free access to the industry’s major streaming services with their Spectrum TV plan, providing up to approximately $80 per month of retail value at no extra cost. We appreciate NBCUniversal’s willingness to help build a healthier video ecosystem for viewers.”
Spectrum customers can immediately start watching content on Peacock using devices like the Xumo Stream Box and any other Peacock-supported device. The streaming service features a vast library, boasting over 80,000 hours of content, including original series and the latest movies from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and Illumination.
Matt Schnaars, president of platform distribution and partnerships at NBCUniversal, expressed pride in this renewed collaboration. “Spectrum has long been an important distributor of NBCUniversal’s leading broadcast and cable networks, and we are proud to build on that partnership by making Peacock Premium available to Spectrum TV Select customers,” he said. “Peacock’s valuable content offering will further strengthen Spectrum’s video products and continue Peacock’s impressive growth.”
This partnership marks just one of several initiatives taken by Charter Communications, Spectrum’s parent company, to enhance its offerings by including various streaming services in its cable packages. Customers can access popular services such as Max, Disney+, ESPN+, Paramount+, ViX, and the Tennis Channel as well.
Customers with Spectrum TV Select can learn more about activating their Peacock Premium subscription through the Spectrum website. The service expansion reflects Spectrum’s commitment to providing sophisticated entertainment options while leveraging its existing agreements with prominent streaming platforms.
