LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Sony Pictures has officially announced that the upcoming Spider-Man film will be titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” with a scheduled release date of July 31, 2026. The announcement was made during CinemaCon, where actor Tom Holland revealed details via a video message.

In his message, Holland addressed the cliffhanger ending of 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” stating, “I know we left you with a massive cliff-hanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.” This new installment marks Holland’s return to the role of Spider-Man after nearly five years.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will be Holland’s first adventure in the superhero suit since he interacted with former Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the previous film. Holland has a rich history with the character, previously starring in blockbusters like 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” He has also portrayed Spider-Man in ensemble Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War,” 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” and 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame.”

Looking ahead to this new chapter, Holland mentioned in October 2024, “All I can tell you is that it’s happening,” when asked about the next phase of his Spider-Man journey. He added, “The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it.”

In addition to news about “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” it was also announced that the highly anticipated film “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” will be released on June 4, 2027. This film continues to expand the Spider-Verse storyline, which has garnered significant acclaim from audiences and critics alike.
