Spotlight Hour Features Golett in Pokémon Go This Week

City, State/Country — This week’s Spotlight Hour in Pokémon Go highlights Golett, the Automation Pokémon. Scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, players have a chance to catch this unique Pokémon alongside a double Stardust bonus.
During the event, trainers are encouraged to catch as many Golett as possible, aiming for high IV stats. A perfect IV Golett has a configuration of 15/15/15 and is most beneficial in Master League battles. Trainers at level 30 or higher should target Golett with wild CP values of 1019 and 1104 CP for regular and weather-boosted circumstances respectively.
The design of Golett is inspired by Jewish folklore, representing golems, clay figures brought to life for protection and labor. Its evolved form, Golurk, offers more powerful attacks but has a lower defense rating, which might impact its effectiveness in PvP scenarios.
Golett’s Pokédex entry notes its origin from an ancient civilization and its reliance on a mysterious form of energy that powers its movements. Golurk, on the other hand, is depicted as a guardian that can unleash devastating power when provoked.
For optimal performance in battles, trainers are recommended to utilize moves like Mud Slap, Shadow Punch, and Dynamic Punch. With its Ground/Ghost typing, Golett has certain weaknesses yet is resilient against various types.
Additionally, the event may provide a rare opportunity to catch shiny versions of Golett and Golurk, which were first introduced in September 2018. Shiny Golett features a color scheme shift from dark blue to purple, while shiny Golurk changes from light blue to a metallic hue.
Trainers are advised to take full advantage of the Spotlight Hour, making sure to catch as many Golett as possible while scouting for shiny variants. Happy hunting!
