Sreenidi Deccan Fc Defeats Gokulam Kerala Fc To Secure Second Place In I League Standings

Sreenidi Deccan FC emerged victorious over Gokulam Kerala FC in a thrilling I-League match, securing a 2-1 comeback win to clinch the second spot in the standings.

The match saw Nikola Stojanovic putting Gokulam in the lead in the 44th minute, but William Alves de Oliveira equalized for Sreenidi shortly after the start of the second half. Oliveira later converted a penalty to secure the lead for Deccan in the 71st minute.

With this win, Sreenidi Deccan FC now occupies the second position in the I-League standings, trailing behind Mohammedan Sporting Club, who leads the table with 47 points from 20 matches.

Eddie Hernandez shined for Mohammedan SC with a brace in their 2-0 victory over NEROCA earlier in the day. Gokulam Kerala FC, on the other hand, stands in fourth place with 36 points from 21 matches and is set to face Delhi FC in their upcoming match on Saturday.
